About HAeX

An AI Agency Born From the Talent Side

HAeX is a UK AI agency based in London. We started as a specialist AI recruitment business, placing machine learning engineers, data scientists and AI product managers into British companies across more than a dozen sectors. Doing that gave us an unusually close view of what actually works in AI projects and what quietly fails. Today we do both: we build and advise on AI adoption, and we still place AI talent for businesses that need to hire. The recruitment work is why our advice is grounded rather than theoretical.

How we got here

We spent years watching AI projects from the inside before we built any

HAeX began as an AI recruitment agency. Businesses came to us because they had decided AI was important and concluded that the answer was hiring someone who understood it. We found them that person, vetted properly, and placed them.

Doing that for several years and more than two hundred placements gives you a particular vantage point. You see which projects succeed and which quietly do not. You see the same conversation repeat: a business hires a talented machine learning engineer, and six months later that engineer is frustrated because nobody defined what they were meant to build, the data was not ready, and no one senior owned the outcome. The hire was not the problem. The hire was an answer to a question the business had not finished asking.

We also kept hearing a different version of the same call. A business would describe what they wanted, and it was obvious that hiring was the wrong route entirely. They needed one specific thing built, or an honest opinion on whether AI would help at all. What they did not need was a permanent salary and the management overhead that comes with it. We were, at that point, a recruitment agency. So we placed people, or we said we could not help.

Eventually the sensible conclusion became unavoidable: if we already knew what worked, we should be building it. So HAeX became an AI agency that also recruits, rather than a recruiter that occasionally advises. The talent side did not go away. It is still a genuine service, and it is also the reason our advice is worth listening to.

What we do

Two services, one body of experience

01

We build and advise on AI

Consultancy, automation, custom development, agents and chatbots, integrations, training, governance and predictive analytics. For businesses that want AI working in their organisation without building an internal AI function to get there.
02

We still place AI talent

Machine learning engineers, data scientists, AI product managers, computer vision and NLP specialists, and more. For businesses that genuinely do need to build the capability in-house, permanently.
Plenty of businesses need a bit of both: something built now, and a person hired to own it later. Being able to do both honestly, without steering you towards whichever is more profitable for us, is the point.

The team

The people you will actually work with

Small team, no account managers standing between you and the people doing the work. When you book a consultation, you speak to one of these three.
Mohsin-Zaheer-HAE-CEO

Mohsin Zaheer

Chief Executive

Mohsin founded HAeX and led its shift from AI recruitment into a full AI agency. He works directly with clients on where AI genuinely fits a business, and on the harder question of when it does not. Most first consultations are with him.
Alexander Foster

Alexander Foster

Chief AI Consultant

Alexander leads our consultancy work, taking clients from a vague sense that they should be doing something with AI to a specific, costed plan. He is the person most likely to tell you that the project you asked about is not the one worth doing first.
Ali Faraz

Ali Faraz

AI Consultant

Ali works across delivery, from scoping automations and integrations through to getting them live and used. He spends a lot of his time on the part most projects underestimate: making sure the thing that was built is actually adopted by the people it was built for.

We also draw on our placement network when a project needs a specialist skill, which means you get the right person for the work rather than whoever happens to be on the bench.

Frequently asked questions

Both, and the order matters. We began as a specialist AI recruitment agency and now operate primarily as an AI agency, building and advising on AI adoption. The recruitment side continues as a genuine service for businesses that need to hire AI talent permanently, and the experience it gave us is what grounds the advisory work.

London. Our address is 81-A Kenthouse Road, London SE26 5LJ, and we work with businesses across the United Kingdom, remotely and in person depending on what the work requires.

One of our consultants directly. We are a small team and there are no account managers between you and the people doing the work. Most first consultations are with Mohsin Zaheer, our chief executive.

No. We resell nothing and take no vendor commissions. That means when we recommend a particular model, platform or off-the-shelf tool, including recommending one instead of a custom build we would have been paid for, the recommendation reflects what suits you rather than what pays us.

Both, and a good deal of our work is with UK SMEs. Smaller businesses often get better results from AI than large ones, because they have fewer systems to integrate and a much clearer view of where the pain actually is.

Thirty minutes, free, no obligation. You describe what you are trying to solve, and we give an honest read on whether AI would help, what it would realistically take, and what it would cost. If the answer is that you do not need us yet, we will say so.
