Predictive Analytics Consulting That Starts With the Decision, Not the Model
- Starts with the decision, so the model earns its keep
- Honest about whether your data is ready
- Built by people who ship models, not just advise on them
Poor odds
Predictive projects fail often, and usually in the same avoidable way

The core problem
Most predictive projects fail quietly, and expensively
Predictive analytics has a poor completion rate, and it usually fails in the same way. A business decides it should be “using AI to predict things”, commissions a model, and gets one. The model is technically fine. It goes into a dashboard. And then nothing changes, because nobody worked out, before building it, which decision the forecast was meant to improve or whether it would reach the person making that decision in time. The money is spent, the model is unused, and the conclusion drawn is that “predictive analytics did not work for us.”
It was not the analytics. It was starting in the wrong place. A model built without a decision to serve is a solution looking for a problem, and it almost always stays that way.
Good predictive analytics consulting front-loads exactly the questions that get skipped: which decisions would actually change if you could see ahead, whether your data can support a reliable forecast, and how the output has to reach people for it to be used. Answer those first, and the model has somewhere to land. Skip them, and you are buying an expensive dashboard ornament.

Why HAeX
Consultants who actually build the thing
A lot of predictive analytics consulting stops at a slide deck and a recommendation to build something, leaving the hard part to someone else. We build. HAeX develops AI systems for UK businesses, so our advice is shaped by knowing what it takes to ship a model that works and gets used, not just what looks good in a strategy document.
Having placed more than 200 AI specialists, we also know honestly what your data can and cannot support, and we would rather tell you a project is not worth doing than sell you one that will not land.

Frequently asked questions
Predictive analytics consulting helps a business decide where forecasting would genuinely improve decisions, whether its data can support that, and how to build models people will actually use. Good consulting starts from the decision rather than the technology, so you invest in forecasting that changes what you do rather than a model that goes unused.
Usually because they start in the wrong place: a model gets built before anyone works out which decision it should improve or whether the forecast will reach the decision-maker in time. The model ends up technically fine but unused. Consulting that front-loads those questions is what prevents it.
That is one of the first things we assess, honestly, before you invest in a model. If you have been recording relevant activity for a while, you likely have enough to start; if not, getting the data in order may be the first step. Either way, we tell you the real position rather than pressing ahead regardless.
Both, and the building is the point. We are not a slide-deck consultancy; we develop and ship AI systems for UK businesses. So our advice is grounded in what it actually takes to make a model work and get used, and we can carry it through to a working forecast rather than handing you a plan.
An initial decision-and-data review is a small, contained piece of work. Building the forecasting is scoped separately. The first consultation is free, and we will tell you honestly if predictive analytics is not the right investment for you right now.
